CPDT-KA Certification Exam Results
In March 2019, I took the Certified Professional Dog Trainer – Knowledge Assessed (CPDT-KA) exam. This is one of the most widely respected independent dog training certifications. The Certification Council for Dog Trainers (CCPDT) administers the exam and certifies the applicants.
In May 2019, I received my results. I passed the exam and am now a CPDT-KA certified dog trainer. I spent a lot of time preparing for the exam, studying and taking practice exams, so I am happy that I passed the exam.
One of the things I like about the certification is that you don’t just receive the certification and that’s the end of it. You need to re-certify every three years by completing a minimum of 36 CEUs (continuing education credits).
In 2022 and again in 2025, I successfully re-certified, having completed the required CEUs and signing the CCPDT code of ethics.
